The fun begins

Some of you know that we've hired a contractor, R. P. Vogel, to add a screen porch to our backyard with an entrance through the dining room as well as (AFTER the porch is done) to update our kitchen with new cupboards and flooring, adding a dishwasher and putting an opening in the wall between the dining room and kitchen.


So today, with the start supposed to be sometime next week, we're getting ready:  Barb went out to start the digging around the clothesline pole that has to go, a few surprises there, and Ryan will come over tomorrow with his ( I doknow) jack hammer thingy so he and Ken can wrench it out of its old home.

In the mean time, Ken is getting ready to clean, so here's one of the before pictures, while he's still smiling.  His plan is to make a temporary kitchen in the basement once they start to work on the kitchen.
