Below is Rellie doing her best moose imitation (cartoon style) on Tuesday. She also showed me her best ballet moves and played with me out in the backyard with water and, of course, our imaginations. (You so amaze me with your imagination, Rellie.) She also cut flowers for this nice little bouquet, with lots of guidance from Nana. (She likes to cut them just below the bloom; not good for bouquets.)
And here's Felix today testing out the new (used) car-seat Sarah found for Nana's car because the first one is about to expire. That was just before we all sat down to scarf down Ken's delicious taco supper. Seriously, there wasn't even any meat left for Peder's famous taco-ish macaroni. (Sorry Peder, what do you call it?)
No pictures, but we gave both kids popsicles for dessert out in the backyard. I think Felix had never had one before and he was super tired. He was very excited to have it and he grabbed it by the sugary part and insisted on holding it... not eating it. Then it would start to hurt his hand and he'd cry, well, scream actually. So, we tried to teach him to hold it by the stick. He would have none of that. After a lot of demonstrating and handing it to him stick end first, he finally held it by the stick ...briefly while Sarah and I cheered and he smiled. After a few good minutes and some good banana licks, he went back to insisting on holding it by the ice. We gave up and soon it just melted away and we went back inside. Poor tired toddler. With luck, maybe he'll sleep long in the morning.
Last, I got something called gator-board that some painters use to stretch their water color paper so you don't get those hills and valleys that make your paint flow where you don't want it sometimes. I got a piece stretched and now it's ready for a drawing and then some painting. I've never painted on stretched paper before.
