While we were getting ready for Easter dinner this morning, Ken took the garbage out and spotted an eagle in the cottonwood tree at the end of our alley ...well, in the park across the street from our alley. Anyway he dragged me away from my honey twist coffee cake making to see the great bird and then we got out the telescope to see it closer and another one landed a few branches above it. It's so exciting to have them living in our neighborhood.
I have a thing about eagles because they make me think of my dad. So many of them showed up at the lake the day of his funeral.
We had a great time being together and eating the feast. With all that everybody brought to eat, we ate like kings! Carrie was the star when it came to desserts. She made two bundt cakes (with baby flower cakes to compliment) and decorated them with all the spring colors. Yumm!
