I finished the shelves with a little help from my sweetheart!
The iris is another exercise from the book that inspired me to give watercolors another try: It's from Barron's Easel Series and it's called simply, "WATERCOLORS A new way to learn how to paint". This wetness thing is complicated! ...the paper, the brush, and you have to be bold and fast to get it right.
